(Glenwood, N.Y.) At the close of business last weekend, the folks at Kissing Bridge Ski Slopes were wondering if that was going to be the end of their 2010 - 2011 season.

Wednesday's record snowfall guaranteed that skiers will get another chance to hit the hills at Kissing Bridge.

A late-March snowstorm dumped several inches of snow across Western New York.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, snowfall totals broke the old daily record for March 23rd.

And it is good news for ski areas like Kissing Bridge.

Snow grooming equipment took to the slopes while anxious skiers flooded the office with telephone calls.

Kissing Bridge will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of this week.

At Holiday Valley, the snow has made everything "white and fluffy looking," says director of marketing Jane Eshbaugh.

Holiday Valley traditionally keeps its ski slopes open until the first or second week in April.
