BUFFALO, NY (release) - Northwest District detectives are looking for a bank robbery suspect who struck just before 11:30 Friday morning, at the Key Bank branch on Grant Street at West Ferry Street.

Police reported that a male - described as light skinned African or Hispanic, about 5'10" tall, heavy build, with "scruffy" facial hair - wearing a NY Yankees baseball cap, white undershirt, and light colored pants did pass a note to a teller demanding money.

"The unknown subject was given an undetermined amount of cash, and he fled in an unknown direction," said Dennis J. Richards, chief of detectives. "According to the note, the suspect was armed with a gun," Richards added, although no weapon was displayed in the robbery.
