TOWN OF EAGLE, N.Y. (WKBW) A 42 year old Kenmore woman has died after an "off-roading" accident in Wyoming County.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call of a "woman down" in the woods off of Horton Rd in the Town of Eagle around 3:30 am, Sunday morning.

Sherrie Green was reported to be breathing but unresponsive as some of her friends brought her out of the woods and to the nearby roadway.

An investigation revealed that Green and others were driving Jeeps off-road on private property when one of the vehicles got stuck in some deep mud.

Authorities say Green and the other parties left their vehicles to help winch the stuck Jeep from the mud when Green was struck by one of the vehicles.

Green was rushed to the Wyoming County Community Hospital where she died a short time later.

Investigators don't believe any foul play was involved and no charges are expected at this time.
