Keep the Change: TSA Collected More Than $400K in Money Left By Passengers in 2010

According to USA Today, the Transportation Security Administration said it collected more than $400,000 in loose change left at airport security checkpoints in 2010.

The most money -- $46,918.06 -- was collected at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, according to the USA Today story. The money collected is used to finance agency operations, according to the report.
