BUFFALO, N.Y. ( WKBW ) Mickey Kearns declared himself the winner against Christopher Fahey in the special election for the 145th New York State Assembly race.
The unofficial tally of election results shows Michael P. Kearns with a total of 7,106 votes to Christopher J. Fahey with 5,357 with 52 out of 52 districts reporting.
In a victory speech, Kearns commented that "this is the third miracle for Father Baker."
Mark Schroeder previously held the seat, but this past November, he was elected City of Buffalo Comptroller, opening up the special election between Democrat Chris Fahey Mickey Kearns.
