LEWISTON, NY (WKBW) - The 11th Annual Lewiston Jazz Festival officially got underway Friday evening, offering plenty of music, food and fun for the more than 40,000 visitors expected to attend.
"We have music on five different stages [and] over 150 musicians," says festival Executive Director Sandra Hays Mies.
Not to mention the 36 food and wine vendors and the countless shops that line Center Street, which is closed off to traffic for the festival.
Eyewitness News anchor and festival board member Keith Radford played emcee, introducing Friday's headliner Cyrus Chestnutt.
The music will continue to play all day Saturday, wrapping up with a performance by headliner Diane Schuur beginning at 8:00 p.m.
