Jaycee Dugard, who was kidnapped and held captive for 18 years, on Thursday filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government for failing to closely monitor the man who abducted her, according to People Magazine.
Any money Dugard would potentially receive would be donated to the nonprofit foundation in her name, according to the story. Dugard's abductor, Phillip Garrido, is serving a sentence of life in prison. He was on parole when he kidnapped Dugard in 1991.
