Japan Tsunami Debris Headed Toward U.S. Shores

According to a story in the Los Angeles Times, scientists say between five and 20 tons of debris from the Japan tsunami are expected to wash up on U.S. shores in the next few years.

According to the Times story, debris is expected to hit Hawaii some time in 2013. Oregon and Washington, and perhaps California, are expected to see some debris in 2014.
