JAMESTOWN, NY (WKBW) - Jamestown Police are investigating the death of a 16-month-old girl, who was brought to the hospital by her mother on Wednesday night.
The child was pronounced dead the next day at Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo.
The Erie County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy late Thursday afternoon and ruled the child's death was the result of blunt force trauma.
The girl's name is not being released.
She lived at a Northland Avenue, Jamestown home with her mother, mother's boyfriend and their 3-year-old daughter, who has been removed from the home by Chautauqua County Child Protective Services.
