JAMESTOWN, N.Y. ( Jamestown Post Journal / WKBW ) City Councilman Michael A. Taylor is in trouble with the law again.

Early this morning, Taylor, 35, of 91 Fairmount Ave., was stopped by Jamestown Police for speeding on East Second Street in the city. Police say Taylor was observed to be operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was charged with DWI and DWI per se with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent.

The incident came just hours before Taylor, D-Ward 3, was to appear in City Court for a preliminary hearing on a felony criminal mischief charge in connection with an incident at Sneakers Bar last weekend.

An Eyewitness News crew is in Jamestown, and will have the latest.
