DUNKIRK, NY ( WKBW ) While lake effect snow pelts parts of Western New York, parts of the United States are under a "big chill."
Channel 7's Jaclyn Asztalos reported LIVE from Dunkirk Tuesday morning to show how the Southern Tier of Western New York is coping with the first significant snowfall of the winter, and for 2012.
Parts of the Dunkirk Pier were shut down due to the weather.
In addition, road conditions are slick with crews working to salt and plow.
ABC NEWS reports that temperatures in Miami could be as low as 38 degrees.
