BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is in full swing, but are we skipping over Thanksgiving? Radio hosts with local radio stations say the demand is so great for holiday music, they've begun to play festive music over the airwaves.

"Christmas music is audio comfort food," said STAR 102.5 Radio Host Rob Lucas. "You hear a song and think about it when you first heard it."

"We started getting calls November 1st and emails of people asking when we were going to start holiday music," said 96.1 JOY FM Radio Host Laura Daniels.

At retail outlets and stores, holiday décor is everywhere. At the Boulevard Mall in Amherst, early shoppers walked through tons of holiday décor and had mixed opinions about the early holiday season.

"It's never too early for the holidays. We just love this time of year," said Willie Herron of Buffalo. "The earlier it is, the more shopping we can get done."

"I don't like it," said Sarah Nielsen of Buffalo. "I think we should wait until each holiday is over before we start the next one."
