Hundreds Play Hockey For A Good Cause

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Hundreds of local hockey players didn't let the bitter cold temperatures and blowing snow stop them from playing in an annual tournament to raise money for local children.

It was a fun and snowy day out on the ice for the more than 250 hockey players facing off in the the Tim Hortons Backyard Classic Saturday.

More than $25,000 was raised for the non-profit organization called Hasek's Heroes. The group helps pay for hockey equipment, ice time, and coaching for underprivledged.
