BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Two days after the teams' spectacular come from behind win of the New England Patriots, excitement and passion for the Buffalo Bills has not dwindled.
Hundred came out to the Boulevard Mall on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst Tuesday, some six hours early, for a chance to meet and get autographs from some Bills starters.
Leodis McKelvin, Fred Jackson, Stevie Johnson, George Wilson, C.J. Spiller and Chris Kelsay were on hand to sign autographs and meet fans in an effort to support Kids Escaping Drugs.
"[It's] a tremendous feeling. Hopefully we can continue doing as well as we have been on the football field and hopefully we'll continue to get support like this," said Bills running-back Fred Jackson.
"Who would think that we would get to meet our football heroes in the flesh. Right here at the mall. What a great opportunity to see them," said Paul Binkowski, who showed up with his wife at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon for the 7:00 p.m. event. They were first in line.
The Bills also continue to bask in the national media spotlight. This week's Sports Illustrated issue, which hits news stands Wednesday will feature an article on Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.
