Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Sheriff Tim Howard will continue to be Erie County's top cop, after a three-way race for the title.

Tim Howard won a third time, with 52-percent of the vote. He beat out Richard Dobson (D) and Bert Dunn (Law & Order). The term lasts four years.

Some of the major issues to come up during the campaign included staffing levels, morale at the Erie County Holding Center and the New York SAFE Act.
