House Fire Threatened Neighboring Homes

BUFFALO, N.Y. ( WKBW ) Fire broke out in a vacant house Sunday threatening neighboring homes.

Firefighters arrived at a two story house on Blake Street at 9:30a.m. Sunday morning, where they found flames ripping thought he windows and coming dangerously close to other houses.

A neighbor says she ran from her home and called 911 when she heard the windows of the house bursting.

Jasmine Marks told Eyewitness News, "I was nervous because the flames were going up, and they were catching to our wires. I was just thinking my house was going to get on fire, and I was hoping there were no stray cats in that house, because they hide in there. I was panicking."

Firefighters estimated $50,000 dollars in damage to the vacant house. No injuries were reported.
