EAST AURORA, NY (WKBW) -- Beth Hoskins appeared in Aurora Town Court on Tuesday night and pleaded not guilty to 114 counts of animal cruelty.
Hoskins is accused of mistreating 51 cats and 71 horses at her farm in East Aurora.
The animals were seized by the Erie County SPCA in March after officials said they were found living in filthy conditions.
Hoskins was released without bail and ordered to return to court on August 18.
Meantime, 40 of the horses have been returned to her.
Hoskins said some of the 40 horses appear to have been mistreated while in the SPCA's care.
"There was a lot of injuries. Lacerations. Mishandling," Hoskins said.
SPCA officials deny the claim.
