Ellicotville, NY (WKBW) - A big project is underway at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicotville. Holiday Valley's President, Dennis Eshbaugh announced the resort will be constructing 'Sky High Adventure Park'. The park will feature an aerial obstacle course along the tree line and a mountain coaster. It will be located in the Tannenbaum area of the resort.

"It's very exciting," said Holiday Valley's Spokesperson Jane Eshbaugh. "We always try to grow a little bit every year to make this place, both Holiday Valley and Ellicotville, more of a year round resort."

The 4-acre aerial park is expected to open in June, and will give patrons the chance to experience a challenging obstacle course along the tree tops. All participants wear a safety harness that that safeguards them from falling if they slip or let go. Staff will also be on hand to offer help and advice on the courses. The mountain coaster will open later in the summer and will be open year round. According to officials, people will ride up the mountain in a coaster car, and then enjoy a spiraling path down the mountain. Riders are also able to control their speed with hand brakes.
