Some shoppers want to cut back, while others plan to spend nothing at all on the holidays!
That's according to a new poll by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. Here are the findings:
11% say they'll spend the same as last year.
53% plan to cutback on spending, saying they are worse off financially.
Only 3% plan to spend more than last year because their finances have improved.
33% say they won't spend anything at all because they anticipate future financial issues.
Consumers are spending money eating out, at least they did during the 10th Local Restaurant Week. The final numbers are in and organizers say it was a huge success. 200 restaurants took part including 25 new ones and 22 veterans who have taken part in all ten promotions. The website, localrestaurantweek.com, got nearly 1.7 million page views, with visitors spending about eight minutes at the site checking out those dining deals!!
