BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - "We're competing with the suburbs. We're competing with the malls. The City of Buffalo should step up, not send ridiculous letters," said Paul Tsouflidis, owner of Acropolis on Elmwood Avenue.
The letter he is referring to is from the city, warning that the holiday lights hung by merchants on the tree-lined street are illegal.
"The city sent us a letter stating that the lights have to be erected and put up and taken down by a licensed contractor. We have to have a $1 million policy on the lights and have the City of Buffalo insured just in case something happens," he said.
