Buffalo (WKBW) This holiday weekend, the weather is beautiful and business is booming!

Two of the newest waterfront eateries, Woody's Beach Bar and Taqueria and Clinton's Dish, opened up this weekend to big crowds with big appetites.

Tucker Curtin owns Woody's at Woodlawn Beach, along with several other waterfront restaurants.

"We're already running at full capacity but we're at record breaking numbers going into this weekend for Friday and Saturday, and looking forward to growing," he said.

Michael Wolasz operates Clinton's Dish along Canalside.

"Before we even opened at 9 o'clock this morning for coffee and danishes, they were lining up at 8:30 just to be the first ones to line up and get a coffee and walk around this beautiful waterfront," he said.

The beach bar and snack bar, each welcomed additions to Woodlawn Beach and Canalside, helping each draw in huge crowds to celebrate Independence Day.

"Whether you're coming to Woody's or hitting up the beach or going on your boat, you've got to get out to the water and enjoy Buffalo. And this is just another spot along the way where you can come and experience something, a little different environment, than you're normally used to," Curtin said.

"People are coming down just to see the new sand area for the kids, and the adirondack chairs, and the puppet shows and there's just all kinds of event going on. And the boaters are loving it, so I think it's great and it's going to continue and it's going to get better," Wolasz said.
