Buffalo- All around Western New York people were feeling the chilly weather and whipping winds Saturday.
Wind advisories were in effect throughout many parts of the region.
As people braced for the cold, the wind was actually so severe that it knocked over a tree at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Tupper Street.
Some people we talked to said the cold weather and high winds took them by surprise.
Hundreds of power outages were reported around the Buffalo regions.
The high winds are expected to slow down by Sunday.
