'Higher' Crash Rate: Those Who Smoke Marijuana Double Risk, Study Says

A study released earlier this month finds that those who drive after smoking marijuana had more than twice the crash risk as non-users, according to a USA Today story.

According to the report, those who also consumed alcohol in addition to smoking marijuana had an even higher crash risk. Researchers used data from nine previous studies in six countries, and found that the crash risk was 2.7 times higher for marijuana users than non-users, the USA Today story says.
