BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - It's been ten years since the herd of Buffalo took over the city.

Now, they're back to raise more money for Roswell Park.

"The Herd about Buffalo was a project that Roswell sponsored back in 2000. We had 150 buffalo that were scattered around the city. It was a wonderful art project the city embraced," organizer Sally Russell said.

Businesses and residents around town sponsored these buffalos and local artists decorated the herd.

"You can go up and down Delaware Ave and see the buffalos, even in the suburbs," Russell said

Back in 2000, the Herd about Buffalos group donated more than $1.6 million to Roswell. This year, they also hope to make a generous donation.

Now, Roswell is auctioning mini-buffalos on line.

"We have 12 painted wonderfully decorated buffalos you can bid on. All the proceeds from this project will go toward research at Roswell and certainly the patients," Russell said.

Russell said this is a win-win for everyone. It raising money for a good cause while also decorating the city.
