Hamburg, N.Y. (WKBW) - Whether it's heart care or eye care to overall healthy living, a group of people in Hamburg are learning how they can stay healthy even into their golden years.

The 2012 Forever Young Health and Living Expo kicked-off in Hamburg, Thursday.

Judy Greskowiak attended the event.

"I'm here to get information about health and wellness for older people," Greskowiak said.

That is the goal of this year's Forever Young Health and Living Expo put on by the Forever Young Newspaper, a publication gear to an older crowd. Greskowiak is 78-years-old and she also works with seniors at a retirement home. She said this expo not only helps her personally but also in her job.

Lori Johnson with the Forever Young Newspaper explains.

"We have a ton of resources from health care, medical, health and wellness, even home improvements. All these different resources that are under one roof," Johnson said.

Jerry Whalen said he may be 70 years young but nothing is stopping him from enjoying his bicycle.

"I do around two to four miles every day. I also go swimming and aquatic exercises," Whalen said.

He said this expo helps he and his wife learn how to stay fit, despite obstacles.

"I have arthritis and other things but you have to keep moving," Whalen said.

The expo wasn't only about getting information. These vendors also had some exciting giveaways to enhance the quality of life for all who participated.

WKBW is a proud co-sponsor every year of the event.
