Are you ready for some controversy?

Country singer Hank Williams Jr. had his popular lead-in performance to ESPN's Monday Night Football yanked from the program Monday after comparing President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler during a television interview with Fox News earlier in the day, according to Time.com.

In a statement, ESPN said:

“While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football.  We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”

It was unclear whether the move is permanent.
