BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The Hamburg Central School District has been billed for nearly $100,000 in legal fees for its efforts to remove an elected school board member from office.
Invoices for legal fees from the law firm Hodgson Russ, obtained by Eyewitness News in a Freedom of Information Law request, shows the district was billed $99,619.24 from April to June.
The dollar amount does not include the months of July and August or the cost of a hearing officer and stenographer.
The school board has cited board member Catherine Schrautth Forcucci with misconduct. A recommendation from the hearing officer on whether the board should remove her is expected soon.
