Orchard Park, N.Y. (WKBW release) -- The Orchard Park Police Department on Tuesday announced it has made an arrest in connection with a pair of power pole cutting incidents that occurred earlier this month in Orchard Park.

Gregory J. Seifert, 43, of Hamburg was arrested on Monday, according to police. Seifert is charged with five counts of second-degree criminal mischief and three counts of first-degree criminal tampering. He is currently being held in the Erie County Holding Center on $2,500 bail.

Three power poles were cut on Jan. 13, causing a power outage that affected approximately 6,000 NYSEG customers on the north and west ends of Orchard Park. The second incident involved a pair of power poles being cut along Taylor Road in Orchard Park.
