BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Nushawn Williams was back in court Tuesday, after already completing his 12-year prison term for infecting more than a dozen women with HIV.

Williams is still being held behind bars under the Civil Confinement Law as officials are concerned he still poses a threat to society.

A judge denied two motions in court Tuesday, one to dismiss the case based on other rulings state-wide, and the other a request by Williams for a new attorney.

The trial to determine if Williams can be held under the Civil Confinement Law is scheduled to begin in October.
