NYS (WKBW) - Governor Cuomo reportedly told sheriffs in New York State to keep quiet about their personal views on the new gun law.

This is according to the New York State Sheriffs Association, causing many members to be angered.

The association claims the "Silence Order" came after a heated meeting with Cuomo last month.

Some sheriffs, mostly in Upstate counties, had been speaking out against the SAFE Act.
