Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Friday was National Wear Red Day, as the American Heart Association launched American Heart Month.
The mission is to spread awareness about the number one killer of women: Heart Disease.
The campaign encourages everyone to wear red and donate $5 to the cause. According to the American Heart Association, since its inception in 2004, Go Red for Women has contributed nearly $44 million nationally to women focused research and provided funds to life-saving educational programs and tools for physicians.
