We're gearing up for the Go Red for Women luncheon on Thursday, May 10th. It's the annual push to get women to take charge of their heart health, and this year's inspiration comes from a famous couple with a message of hope.

Reality TV stars Ramon Medeiros and Jessica Limpert captured the nation's attention when they lost a combined 266 pounds and fell in love.

Now the weight loss gurus live in Western New York and are sharing their healthier lifestyle with others hoping for the same success.

They are trainers at the Biggest Loser Resort Niagara in Wyoming County.

They're also the keynote speakers at the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women luncheon.

It's an event to raise awareness of heart disease, the number one killer of women, inspiring them to take charge of their heart health.

The luncheon will also include tips on healthy eating and managing blood pressure and cholesterol, and even if you are struggling with high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol, Jessica and Ramon say it's never too late to turn around your health.

The Go Red for Women luncheon starts at 10:30am with a wellness exhibit and silent handbag auction, followed by a heart healthy seminar at 11am and the luncheon featuring Jessica and Ramon at noon.

It all takes place at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott on Millersport in Amherst. For more information or to sign up, just call 614-1980.
