Girl Allegedly Hits Classmate With Car Over Social Media Argument

TONAWANDA, N.Y (WKBW) - The Town of Tonawanda Police is investigating an assault that took place Friday night.

Police say an argument between two teenage girls over social media led to a "personal encounter" on Chaplin Drive.

17-year-old Madeline Silvia was struck by a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Liana Nieves.

Silvia sustained serious injuries and is at ECMC in fair condition.

Nieves has been charged with Assault and is currently being held at Erie County Holding Center
