German, 22, Wins World Series of Poker Main Event, $8.7 Million

A 22-year-old German claimed poker's top prize late Tuesday night, winning the World Series of Poker Main Event championship and an $8.7 million prize, according to a story on the World Series of Poker website.

Pius Heinz was the last man standing from an initial field of 6,865 players after he knocked off Martin Staszko after more than six hours of heads-up play, according to the WSOP story.
