Genesee County Deputies Investigating Thefts of Bull Calves

LeRoy, N.Y. (WKBW) The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is investigating several farm larcenies, including two at a single farm in the past week.

The owners of that farm report that in the two thefts, suspects stole 14 black and white bull calves, a Dewalt generator, a Dewalt saw, and a Napa battery charger. Since those larcenies, two of the calves have been recovered.

Thefts from another local farm lead deputies to believe the thieves are keeping the calves. That farm reported a milk replacer and hay were stolen.

Investigators believe these thefts are all related. A witness to one of the calf thefts at the first farm describes two suspects, a woman and a bald man, who fled the scene in a dark colored minivan. The van may have been burgundy, and is described as having dark tinted windows.

Anyone with information on these thefts is asked to call the Genesee County Sheriff's Office at (585) 345-3000 ext. 3572.
