BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - AAA reports the average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Western New York is $3.94 and that's the highest price for gasoline drivers have ever seen on Labor Day.

"This is actually the most Buffalonians are paying for gas ever on Labor Day. This beats 2008's record and that was the year prices hit their highest mark," said AAA Public Affairs Specialist Steve Pacer.

Experts say Hurricane Isaac can be partly to blame for the recent spike in gas prices, since Isaac shut down Gulf Coast Refineries that produce about 10% of the nation's fuel.

There is some good news for drivers though, since experts expect prices to creep down soon.
