BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Gas prices are grinding away at your pocketbook.
"It's just getting worse and worse," said Cathy Wright as she filled up at a Niagara Street gas station.
Filling up in Western New York means paying some of the highest prices we've seen in three years.
The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in Buffalo-Niagara is $3.65, according to AAA.
The same gallon of gas cost $2.90 a year ago.
"This is high," said Nicole Viterna, who was pumping gas at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and West Chippewa Street. "But I mean if it was $5, people would still be here buying it."
In and around downtown Buffalo, we found gas prices ranging from $3.59 to $3.75 per gallon.
