Sheridan (WKBW) Jeffrey Roberts was a father, a friend, and a fire chief. And on Saturday, the small community of Sheridan said one final goodbye to him.

A memorial service was held early Saturday at the Seridan Fire Hall, which Roberts led for two years. Emergency responders from local communities, county, and state all attended.

Then a solumn procession drove to a local church for a mass of christian burial. On the way, over 40 fire trucks and emergency response vehicles drove under a giant American flag, a fitting tribute to a man who dedicated his life to the fire service.

Roberts was killed last weekend in a hunting accident. His death is still under investigation.
