In a news release issued Thursday, Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on October 24th, Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office Operations Division arrested 68-year-old David A. Comstock of 1350 White Rock Road, Pinnacle, North Carolina, as a Fugitive of Justice from the State of North Carolina.

Investigators located Comstock at a residence in Black Creek after receiving Warrants of Arrest from the Stokes County (N.C.) Sheriff’s Office for six counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child. It is alleged that Comstock engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a 6-year-old female between April and October of this year while living in North Carolina.

Comstock was arraigned before County Court Judge Terrance Parker on Monday and was remanded to the Allegany County Jail pending appointment of Council.  On Thursday, Comstock waived his right to an Extradition Hearing and is currently waiting extradition back to Stokes County, N.C., where he will answer the aforementioned charges.
