ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.(WKBW-TV) –
For the third year, Great Lakes Restaurant Management, LLC, an owner/operator of 23 Wendy’s franchises throughout the Western New York Area, are teaming up with former Buffalo Bills Quarterback Jim Kelly and wife Jill for the Frosty’s and Fries for Hope Valentine’s Day campaign.
Customers at Wendy’s Restaurants can purchase a Valentine’s Day Sheet with coupons for three free value fries and three free junior Frosty’s, a value of $6, for only $1. All net proceeds raised will go to the Hunter’s Hope Foundation and will be announced at the Fourth Annual Hunter’s Hope Radiothon presented by WGR 550 Sports Radio.
“We teamed up with Hunter’s Hope three years ago after learning that their mission includes advocating for expanded and universal newborn screening programs in every state,” said Amanda Armstrong, Marketing Coordinator for Great Lakes Restaurant Management, LLC. “After hearing devastating stories from real families who loose children because they were born in the wrong state, we knew we had to do something to help, and that’s when we started the Frosty’s and Fries for Hope campaign.”
The Valentine’s Day promotion runs in conjunction with the Hunter’s Hope Foundation’s Hunter’s Day of Hope for Children, a free family event each year around Hunter and Jim Kelly’s birthday. The event is a celebration of life and gives families a chance to spend time with each other, reminding parents how blessed they are to have the precious gift of children.
Over the course of three years, the campaign has raised over $150,000 to support Hunter’s Hope.
“We are blessed to have the local Wendy’s restaurants support us through this campaign,” said Jim Kelly. “It takes a team to get expanded and universal newborn screening in every state, so that every child, every time, everywhere can have a fair start at life. We are proud that Wendy’s is such a strong member of the team, and part of the Hunter’s Hope family of supporters.”
