BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - They came to be scared, but it wasn't the ghosts and ghouls that were frightening visitors to Frightworld of late.

Police were called last Saturday to break up a fight involving more than forty people. One person was reportedly taken to the hospital after being struck with the but-end of a gun. Amherst Police were forced to shut down the haunted house, but Thursday night, it reopened with a new security plan.

There are more lights in the parking lot and there is a large police presence both inside and outside.

All five of Frightworld's haunted house locations will be open every night at 6:30 p.m. through Halloween.
