Free Parking Fiasco In Allentown

BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) A parking lot on Arlington Place and Wadsworth Street, which was dedicated for visitors of the Allentown Art festival, is now locked up.

The parking lot, owned by Ellicott Development, was reportedly
leased by three restaurant owners in Allentown. The owners intended
to use the 55 spaces as additional, free parking for festival goers.

But on Saturday, an employee of the Ellicott Development Corporation (owner of the lot) says the lot was actually leased by Kleinhans Music Hall for this weekend, and not available for anyone else.

Eyewitness News cameras captured images of visitors to the festival who already parked their cars in the lot.

According to a sign posted on the parking lot fence, they need to call an employee of the Ellicott Development Corporation to get their cars. That cell phone number is listed on the parking lot fence. There is no word as of this posting on how the mix up happened.

Attempts to reach the restaurant/bar owners who put the parking project together were unsuccessful at the time of this posting.
