According to a story in the Los Angeles Times, the French government has banned school and college cafeterias from serving ketchup with any food -- except french fries.

The new initiative is designed to promote healthy eating. According to the report, french fries can be only offered once a week in the cafeterias.

"France must be an example to the world in the quality of its food, starting with its children," agriculture and food minister Bruno Le Maire said, according to the story.
