BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Cheektowaga Police have confirmed that former Sloan Highway Superintendent Sean McGee is now in police custody.
A search warrant was issued for Sean McGee, the former highway superintendent for the Village of Sloan, after he failed to appear in court Friday for sentencing.
McGee admitted back in March to embezzling nearly $15,000 worth of tools and tires from the Village of Sloan government, pleading guilty to Grand Larceny. He was scheduled to be sentenced in State Supreme Court Friday, where he faced two and a half to seven years behind bars.
McGee, 52, had recently been released from jail after failing to appear at two previous court sessions. As of Friday, McGee was in the Erie County Holding Center.
