ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (Buffalo Bills) - Former Seattle DT Alan Branch had made has signed with the Bills Tuesday afternoon, just hours after arriving in Orchard Park.
Branch played each of the last two seasons in Seattle, starting all 31 games he played. He racked up 37 tackles and four sacks.
Branch was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2007 Draft. He played his first four seasons with the Cardinals, seeing action in 47 career games with three starts.
According to the Bills, Branch is regarded as a rugged, physical player who can control the line of scrimmage to help free up secondary defenders. He played in a hybrid defense in Seattle and has experience as a true nose guard but he also has two-gap ability.
