On Monday, former head of the Buffalo FBI, Bernie Tolbert, filed paperwork to establish a campaign finance committee.

As of now, Tolbert said it is too early to explain where he stands on key issues.

"I am listening to a lot of people, asking them what are your issues, what are your concerns, what would you like to see different and you can guess what people say, " said Tolbert. "Education and other things clearly, but this is a debate and discussion for another time."

Tolbert is a democrat and would face Mayor Byron Brown in a September primary. Mayor Brown has officially announced he is seeking a third term.

Also officially campaigning from the Republican Party is Sergio Rodriguez.

Both candidates say they welcome Tolbert's entry into the race.
