Paul Kaczmarski's basement used to be a posh bar. But when last week's flood waters rushed into his Lexington Green home last weekend it was mostly gutted.

Thankfully not only do the Kaczmarski's have home owners insurance they also have flood insurance.
But he as well as other homeowners are finding out the items that they lost are not covered under their flood insurance plan.

That's because their flood insurance only covers structural damage, not contents.

Because only 70 homes were impacted the home owners don't qualify for federal aid.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says he spoke with Governor Cuomo on Tuesday and that the Governor is reviewing the next step
although he did not provide details on what that may be.
