Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - United States District Judge William Skretny met with more than a dozen lawyers Wednesday for updates on wrongful death lawsuits following the crash of Continental Flight 3407 in Clarence Center back in February of 2009. The crash killed 50 people. Skretny said in court more than 50 lawsuits were filed and to date, 20 families have settled their claims outside of court. Lawyers for the 3407 Family Group say within the last few weeks they've obtained pressing confidential documents that they'd like to see made public. Attorneys would not elaborate on the specific information in those documents, but Colgan Air argues that Federal regulations should keep those documents sealed. Lawyers are scheduled to appear in Federal Court December 19th for another status hearing.
