Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - A combination of black ice and frosty windows could pave the way for some tricky driving conditions on Tuesday morning.
Downtown Buffalo was mostly spared, but side streets and sidewalks throughout Western New York may be icy and slippery.
Most of the overnight winter blast hit the Southern Tier and Southtowns. A few inches fell in Hamburg and Orchard Park. Perrysburg in Cattaraugus County reported five inches.
The ice formed after rain fell on Monday, followed by a rapid drop in temperatures and snow in many areas.
Several accidents were reported as a result of the ice.
