ELMA, NY (WKBW) - Erie County Sheriff's Office says that around 9 P.M. Thursday, a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by a Buffalo man, was going through a construction zone when he apparently lost control and crashed into the center of a concrete barrier.

The vehicle then overturned off the right hand side of the road, of the Route 400 North bound near Jamison Road in the town of Elma.

The driver's name is not being released until the family can be notified, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigators, speed appears to be a factor in what might have caused the accident.
